Fun Run: Run FUR Fun! 🐕💨

"Run Fur Fun," a significant fundraising event spearheaded by the Noah's Ark Dog & Cat Shelter, serves as the shelter's largest fundraiser. It is designed to secure crucial support for the facility and the many rescued animals under its care. This occasion invites people, their friends, and their families to run alongside their beloved pets or dogs, with participants able to select from 2.5 Km, 5 Km, and 10 Km categories.

By lacing up their running shoes, participants become "SuFURheroes," actively sustaining Noah's Ark's rescue operations. Their participation is instrumental in providing essential resources, including food and medical supplies, necessary for the welfare of the animals. Beyond fundraising, the event aims to promote the broader cause of animal welfare, uniting the community to create a brighter future for these vulnerable creatures.

Safety Rule: Due to a veterinary-driven safety rule, dogs were not permitted in the 5K or 10K races as these lengths were deemed too strenuous for "furry friends". The only distance recommended by the vet and designated as dog-friendly for running with a pup was the 2.5K. Adherence to this rule was emphasized as key to keeping four-legged buddies safe and happy throughout the event.

Adoption Drive 🏠💖

The Adoption Drive, held by the Noah's Ark Dog & Cat Shelter, transformed the Clark Parade Grounds into a bustling hub for animal welfare and community engagement. The drive was the shelter's primary outreach effort, designed to find loving, permanent homes for the many rescued dogs and cats in their care. Families, individuals, and friends attended in large numbers, interacting with the animals and learning about the profound responsibility and joy of pet ownership.

Spearheaded by founder Leah Ibuna, the event actively promoted a larger educational mission. The drive emphasized increasing public awareness of responsible pet care, the critical need for spaying and neutering, and the importance of supporting rescue operations. The area was filled with stations providing essential resources, including information on food and medical supplies.

The success was clearly visible in the emotional connections forged between potential adopters and the animals. Images captured moments of happy dogs, symbolizing the opportunity for a new life. The strong community support demonstrated that the shelter can sustain its vital mission. This ensures that every action (be it adopting a pet, offering time as a volunteer, or making a donation) directly helps provide rescued animals with a safe haven and guarantees them a happy, loving future.

Petstival 2023 📅🎉

The much-anticipated Petstival 2023 was scheduled for August 27, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM, at The Infinity in Angeles City. This vital event was a collaborative effort, hosted by JCI Angeles City Culiat and the Noah's Ark Dog and Cat Shelter. The day was dedicated to a heartwarming mission: helping residents "welcome a new bundle of love" into their homes by connecting them with rescued animals.

A primary focus of the festival was the opportunity to Meet the Rescues. This showcase featured a delightful array of dogs and puppies seeking adoption, including featured individuals like Gold and Recca. Attendees were encouraged to get up close and personal with the canines, finding the perfect companion whose individual needs and history matched their own capacity for care and affection.

The event also featured the Cats Seeking Companionship section, presenting a captivating collection of cats and kittens. These felines were ready to "steal your heart with their playful antics and endearing personalities", catering to those whose preferences leaned toward purring hearts over wagging tails. Overall, the Petstival served as a successful manifestation of community spirit and compassion. The final message for the community was one of hopeful anticipation: "Hope to see you there FUR-friends!".
